FRUIT TART

Asalnya anggur tu xde, sepatutnya strawberry, tapi x jumpa carik plak, ganti ngn plum. By the time nk guna plum tu still x berapa nk lembik, tu yg gnti dgn anggur. So plum dh dmasukkan ke hantaran buah hehe Selepas dijadikan hantaran, maka jadilah ia seperti....
I like the bekas kaca tingkat2 hehe bought at SSF Kuantan. Selepas ditambah sedikit gajet maka hasilnya...

COOKIES POPS

Hehe another food project. Suke buat tp x suke makan. And again the recipes and ideas are from Kevin & Amanda. Tapi buat x la jd cntik mcm tu. Maybe sebab kt cni sprinkle nya x cukup variety mcm kt oc. Anyway kt dalam bebola tu ialah cookies yg nk ikut resepi mane2 pun blh tp advice: jgn guna choc chip Hershey's. Bukannya x sedap, sedap sngt chip tu, tp agak manis even guna semi-sweet punye. And one more thing chip die agak besar and harga pun paham2 je la kn...
Sepatutnya coating die guna Almond Bark. What kind of animal pun x tau tp x jumpe la kt Mesia ni. So memandaikan diri guna white choc. And peringatan klu guna white choc, cookies tu kene kurangkan kemanisannya. Lollipop stick tu agak x berapa nk murah. Sebatang 20 sen. So lepas makan tu jgn la buang hehe recycle. B4 cocok stick kt cookies yg telah dibola2 kan, kena celup dlm white choc dulu supaya stick tu melekat kt cookies nanti.
Yang ni nmpk agak bersememeh skit kn hehe biase lah amatur.
Ni je antara sprinkle yg berjaya jumpa. Yg love2 tu susah skit nk penuh sbb die besar. Yg paling ok si manik urai tu a.k.a choc/colour rice. Kt dlm fridge ade se tupperware lagi cookies yg belum dicelup. Boleh la nk buat lagi, tp kene ade audience budak2 dulu. Sbb klu org mcm kite ni mkn rasenye x lame idup kot hahahaha

Pesta Makanan Thai

Last week gak p Pesta makanan Thai ni kt Dataran Syahbandar. X sempat nk snap pic bnyk2 sbb org agak ramai sbb dh last day la katakan. Fud die ade yg mcm same je ngn kite mcm ns kerabu kt bawah ni.

Tp ns kerabu die agak moden skit la sbb ade carrot. Ulam lain still same mcm kite, ade kacang pnjng, timun, bunga kantan ngn daun2 ijau yg x tau name hehe tp drg x guna budu, drg guna sos ikan ngn limau nipis. Nasi ni RM3.50. Pastu beli ayam goreng RM2. Oo drg nye ns kerabu xde ayam bakar or daging bakar cm kite, telur masin pon xde, sbbtu kene cari ayam kt tmpt lain hehe

Ni plak mcm set2 mee lidi or kuey tiow tapi halus2. Ok gak. Sume beli bungkus mkn lepak2 kt rumput hehe Yg paling ramai org beli ialah somtam, tp oleh kerana Mr Hubby ni kurang gemar so malas la nk beli, takut sakit perut plak mkn sorang2 bnyk2 tu. Ade gak yg jual mcm telur dadar yg tebal dlm die letak udang, sotong, kupang ngn taugeh. Agak menarik tp minyak menggoreng die terlalu bnyk, terus cancel. Tomyam2 tu melambak la, ade gak set2 roti tisu tp drg gulung mcm sebesar roti john tu.

Kesimpulannya klu ade selalu2 pesta mcm ni kn best :D wat la dr negara2 lain plak. International skit lg bagus. Till then!

MEATBALLS...

Baru nk start marking for today, tp terjumpa plak resepi meatballs yg mcm kt IKEA, marvelous, delicious n yummy... anyway jumpanya kt iGoogle je hehe. Takut terhilang plak resepi tu so meh la kite tempek kt sini yek :D

Swedish Meatballs Recipe

Lingonberry jelly is traditionally used with Swedish meatballs; you can substitute cranberry, red currant or raspberry jelly if you can't find lingonberry jelly.

Ingredients

Meatballs:
  • 1 large yellow or white onion, peeled, grated (through a cheese grater)
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4-5 slices of bread, crusts removed, bread cut into pieces
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pound ground pork - ni leh gnti terus ngn beef
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
Sauce:
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 quart beef stock
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup sour cream
  • Salt
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp of Lingonberry, cranberry, red currant or raspberry jelly, more or less to taste (optional)

Method

1 Sauté the grated onion in the butter over medium-high heat until the onions soften and turn translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
2 In a medium bowl, mix the bread pieces with the milk. Set aside for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread soaks up all the milk. When it does, pulverize the bread in a food processor and pour it into a large bowl.
3 Add the cooled onions to the bowl of milk and bread. Add the rest of the meatball ingredients—eggs, ground pork, ground beef, salt, nutmeg, cardamom, pepper. Using your (clean) hands, mix well for about 2 minutes until the ingredients are well combined.
4 Use a tablespoon to measure out the meat for the meatballs. As you form the meatballs, set each one aside on a sheet pan or plate. You should get 40 to 50 meatballs.

5 Heat 6 tablespoons of butter for the sauce in a large sauté pan over medium heat. When the butter has melted, reduce the heat to medium and add some of the meatballs. Do not crowd the pan. Work in batches, browning them slowly on all sides. Be gentle when you turn them so they don't break apart. Do not cook the meatballs all the way through, only brown them at this stage. Once browned, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the pan, setting them aside so you can make the sauce with the remaining pan butter.

6 Start the sauce. (Check the pan butter to see if it has burned. If the butter tastes burnt, discard the butter and replace with new 6 tablespoons.) Heat the pan butter on medium until hot. Slowly whisk in the flour. Stirring often, let the flour cook until it is the color of coffee-with-cream; this is a classic roux.

7 As the roux is cooking, heat the beef stock in another pot until it simmers. When the roux has cooked until the color of coffee-with-cream, slowly add the hot beef stock a little at a time. Everything will sputter at first, and the sauce will seize up and solidify. Keep stirring and adding stock slowly, and it will loosen up and become silky.

8 Add the meatballs to the sauce and turn the heat down to low. Cover the pot and cook on low heat for 10 minutes. You might need to do this in batches.
9 To finish, move the meatballs to a serving dish. Add the sour cream and mix well. Either add the lingonberry jelly to the sauce or serve it on the side.

Serves 4 vikings, or 8-10 regular people.
